Company Bio/History

Solid Designs LLC was created in 2003.

Owning my own design firm has been a life long ambition. I have seen, over the years, a need to give clients the personal attention necessary to help them in their own designing process. Helping my clients move through the design phase and into the molding phase is our company’s primary goal.

The designing stage can be very complicated in itself but making sure that the outcome is a moldable and viable product is at the forefront of our mission. I felt there needed to be way to make this a less painful and much easier process. Solid Designs LLC does that and more.

I have been a Designer/Drafter since 1968 and working with solid modeling since 1980. I’m putting that background to use in my new company; producing solid models and providing design input for both molding shops and entrepreneurs.

Recent Milestones:

2003: Solid Designs LLC was officially launched.

2006: Solid Designs LLC is pleased to announce a new service to new and existing customers. We have acquired a Rapid Prototype machine that enables us to produce low cost, quick turn around parts for review, evaluation, iteration and functional assembly and testing.

What's In Our Future:

Soon you can benefit from fast, reliable 3D laser scanning services without the high cost of investing in your own 3D scanning equipment. Solid Designs LLC has purchased the NextEngine 3D laser scanner and is in the process of applying this new technology to our list of services.
